When and how do I pay the program fees ?
You have to pay the program fee on the day of your arrival or on
the morning after, to the Project Coordinator of volunteering India
in US $ (or the equivalent in GB Pounds, Euros or Indian Rupees)
cash.
Cancellations and Refund Policy.
The process of allocating you to a specific
volunteer program
starts as soon as we receive your application. So you are
requested to think twice before you put down your preference of a
volunteer program.
However, you can postpone or cancel your placement in a program in
accordance with the following terms and conditions:

You will be placed in an alternative project
in the case when Volunteering India cannot place you on the project
you
applied for.

In the failure of placing you in any
alternative project, which is very rare, you will get a total
refund of your registration
fee. Here it should be noted that Volunteering India is a small
non-profit organization working at grassroots level and
cannot take any liability for any costs incurred or
inconvenience caused due to the cancellation of a project.

An amount of US $10 towards administration
costs will be retained from your registration fee and the
balance will be refunded to you in the case the
application is cancelled before your placement in a project is
finalized.

No amount will be refunded if you
reject to participate in a project you have applied for. However
the following two
conditions are treated as exemptions.

When you have to cancel your placement in the
case of any unfortunate situation like Death or serious illness
of immediate relative.

When you have to cancel your placement in the
case of any unforeseen incidents that would prevent you from
being able to participate in the program.
In any of the above two cases, you will receive a refund of 70% of
the registration fee after excluding US $10 towards administration
costs. However, the decision will be made at the discretion of
Volunteering India and you are required to produce sufficient and
reliable documentary evidence to support your cause.
However, regardless of your cancellation/non-acceptance, you would
continue as a registered member of Volunteering India for a period of
12 months from the date of joining and you would continue to
receive newsletters and information.
