Caring for Orphans in Jaipur
Spend time with children who have lost parental care and offer them stability, affection and encouragement in a safe, structured home environment.
In this program you support children living in small group homes and orphanages in and around Jaipur. Many of these children have lost one or both parents or come from difficult family situations and need a safe place to grow up.
Your presence brings routine, warmth and extra attention into their daily life. You assist local staff with simple, everyday tasks and help create a positive, encouraging atmosphere for the children.
This program is suited to calm, reliable people who are comfortable around children and teenagers. You do not need professional social work experience. A stable personality, emotional maturity and respect for house rules are essential.
Partner orphanages and children’s homes are based in Jaipur and nearby areas. You stay in a guest house or host family with other volunteers. Rooms are simple but clean, and meals are cooked in a homely Indian style.
Start dates are on the 1st and 15th of every month. You can join from 2 weeks up to 6 months, depending on your availability and visa. Longer stays allow you to build deeper relationships with the children.
Evenings and weekends are usually free. You can explore Jaipur’s palaces and bazaars, visit nearby villages or plan short trips with other volunteers during your time off.
If you would like your visit to India to mean stability and kindness for children who have had a difficult start in life, the orphanage care program offers a very direct way to contribute.
Your donation helps us educate children, support health camps and protect the environment in and around Jaipur.
