Childcare Volunteers in Jaipur
Support local day-care centres and community projects in Jaipur, Rajasthan, by giving time, care and attention to young children who need it most.
This program places you in day-care centres and community projects in and around Jaipur. You will work with young children who need extra care, attention and encouragement in a safe, friendly environment.
You do not replace local staff. You support them by bringing time, energy and creativity into the classroom and play areas, helping to make each day more joyful and engaging for the children.
This program suits anyone who enjoys being around small children and is patient, caring and responsible. You do not need teaching qualifications; a positive attitude and respect for local culture are most important.
Projects are based in Jaipur and nearby communities. Volunteers stay in a guest house or host family with other volunteers, with simple, clean rooms and local home-style meals.
Start dates: 1st and 15th of every month. Minimum duration is 2 weeks, and you can extend up to 6 months depending on your plans and visa.
In the evenings and at weekends you are free to explore Jaipur’s forts, markets and nearby towns, or plan trips with other volunteers.
